• Reviews staffing and census of all nursing units to ensure consistency with budget and patient needs, adjusting staff as necessary.
• Facilitates patient admissions and patient flow.
• Makes frequent rounds throughout the hospital to assess and resolve issues and incidents.
• Provides consultation to staff as needed.
• Promotes good interpersonal relations between all departments.
• Assists staff in obtaining equipment and supplies as needed. Provides crisis intervention for all hospital departments.

• Thorough understanding of hospital policies, procedures and legal aspects of acute care nursing [Required]
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing [Required]
• Basic computer skills [Required]
• Previous nursing management experience [Preferred]
• Previous experience with Cerner electronic medical record [Preferred]

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

• 3+ years experience in acute patient care [Required]
• Critical Care or Emergency Department experience [Preferred]

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) [Required]
