Senior vSphere​/vCF Architect – MPO

We're seeking a Senior vSphere / VMware Cloud Foundation Architect to lead SDDC transformation at an MPO intelligence community facility. You'll architect multi-tenant VCF environments, design network virtualization with NSX, and provide technical leadership for complex modernization initiatives. This is an opportunity to work on nationally significant programs with access to the latest VMware technologies.

• Architect end-to-end VMware Cloud Foundation solutions (vSphere, vSAN, NSX-T, SDDC Manager) for intelligence operations
• Design network virtualization architectures using NSX: overlay networks, micro-segmentation, distributed routing, zero-trust patterns
• Lead SDDC modernization and migration projects from legacy platforms to VCF using HCX and automation
• Implement infrastructure-as-code and automation using VMware Aria, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines
• Produce comprehensive architecture documentation and deliver technical briefings to senior government leadership
• Design security architectures meeting IC security requirements and support accreditation activities
• Mentor engineering teams and serve as technical escalation for complex issues

• Active Full-Scope Polygraph clearance (current, not in-process)
• 8+ years VMware engineering experience with clear architecture focus
• 3+ years hands-on VMware Cloud Foundation architecture and implementation
• Expert-level vSphere, NSX-T, and vSAN knowledge at scale (100+ hosts)
• Experience with VMware Aria Suite, Terraform, Power

• Proven ability to lead complex SDDC projects and migrations
• Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
• U.S. citizenship

• VMware VCP-DCV, VCAP-DCV, or VCDX certification
• Prior MPO or intelligence community experience
• Security certifications (CISSP, CCSP)
• Kubernetes/Tanzu integration experience
