Windows​/Linux System Administrator

New position supporting a primarily Windows environment transitioning toward Linux. This role will start with core Sys Admin responsibilities and evolve into a Linux-focused SME as the environment grows. You’ll partner closely with the Dev team, which currently supports Linux, and help drive new capabilities—especially around containerization.

• Administer and support mixed environment (Windows + Linux, moving toward Linux focus)
• Serve as Linux SME for day‑to‑day operations (Red Hat 7/8/9; currently on
  8)
• Partner with Dev team to stabilize and expand Linux capabilities
• Support and explore containerization initiatives (Open Shift/Kubernetes/Docker)
• Manage patching, security compliance, and system performance
• Troubleshoot OS, server, and application issues
• Participate in on‑call rotation (5-week, Fri–Fri)

• 2–4 years Linux administration experience (Red Hat preferred)
• Strong Windows Systems Administration background
• Exposure to containerization (hands‑on preferred over certifications)
• Understanding of security, patching, and vulnerability management
• Familiarity with scripting, CI/CD, or automation tools is a plus
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and self‑starter mindset
