OverviewNew position supporting a primarily Windows environment transitioning toward Linux. This role will start with core Sys Admin responsibilities and evolve into a Linux-focused SME as the environment grows. You’ll partner closely with the Dev team, which currently supports Linux, and help drive new capabilities—especially around containerization.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and support mixed environment (Windows + Linux, moving toward Linux focus)
- Serve as Linux SME for day‑to‑day operations (Red Hat 7/8/9; currently on
8) - Partner with Dev team to stabilize and expand Linux capabilities
- Support and explore containerization initiatives (Open Shift/Kubernetes/Docker)
- Manage patching, security compliance, and system performance
- Troubleshoot OS, server, and application issues
- Participate in on‑call rotation (5-week, Fri–Fri)
- 2–4 years Linux administration experience (Red Hat preferred)
- Strong Windows Systems Administration background
- Exposure to containerization (hands‑on preferred over certifications)
- Understanding of security, patching, and vulnerability management
- Familiarity with scripting, CI/CD, or automation tools is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and self‑starter mindset
