Network Administrator
Designs, configures, installs, maintains, and troubleshoots enterprise level networks and associated equipment. proactively plans, repairs, and implements a network that supports a dynamic Information Technology landscape.
The employee will have the responsibility of:- Providing guidance with designing, planning, and implementing a high-quality and reliable network infrastructure
- Assisting in daily operations by providing technical support and assistance for all city network systems
- Implementing and administering security configurations and practices on all switching equipment
- Analyzing potential impacts to the network from changes requested by vendors and staff
- Configure, install, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, servers, access points, point-to-point radios, and other network devices.
- Providing network connectivity and comprehensive support for virtual environments
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Associates Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study; and
- Four (4) years’ experience with enterprise networks, virtual environments, and IP phone systems; or
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience
- Network+ and Security+ certifications, preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license by date-of-hire
- Must have the ability to work flexible hours as required. Including some nights and weekends as necessary
- Must be able to pass FBI criminal background fingerprint check and have the ability to comply with state and federal requirements for criminal justice information security standards
