Job Title: Site Safety Manager

Location: Killeen, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site

About the Role

The Site Safety Manager is a hands-on, hybrid safety role that blends active field oversight with essential safety administration. This position is responsible for maintaining a strong Safety First culture across industrial operations, with a specific focus on managing risks associated with hazardous chemicals such as Anhydrous Ammonia and Hydrogen Peroxide.

The ideal candidate is comfortable spending significant time in the field conducting walkthroughs and inspections, while also maintaining accurate safety documentation, training records, and compliance logs. This role requires someone equally confident wearing PPE on-site and managing digital safety records.

Key Responsibilities 1. Site Safety & Chemical Awareness
  • Maintain a visible on-site presence to proactively manage safety risks related to hazardous chemicals.

  • Enforce PPE standards, including long sleeves and safety glasses policies.

  • Conduct daily site walkthroughs to verify chemical storage integrity and ensure safety equipment such as eyewash stations and emergency showers are accessible and functional.

  • Inspect, monitor, and log the condition of Personal Fall Arrest Systems, including harnesses and lanyards.

2. Scaffolding Oversight & Workforce Onboarding
  • Perform daily scaffold inspections and provide sign-offs confirming safe use.

  • Lead safety orientations for new personnel, covering site-specific hazards, emergency procedures, and exit routes.

  • Maintain clear and organized logs for orientations, safety training, and equipment certifications to ensure ongoing compliance.

3. Safety Administration & Documentation
  • Manage daily safety reports and maintain required documentation.

  • Track training records, certifications, and safety compliance documentation.

  • Support audits and inspections by ensuring records are current and accessible.

Preferred Qualifications
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification.

  • Approximately 3 years of safety experience in general industry, construction, or operations and maintenance environments.

  • Ability to document an average of 8 hours per year of safety and health training over recent years.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

  • Familiarity with scaffold safety requirements and PPE management.

  • Bilingual in Korean and English is a strong plus but not required.

Why This Role Matters

This position plays a critical role in protecting employees, maintaining compliance, and ensuring safe operations in a high-risk industrial environment. The Site Safety Manager serves as both a visible safety leader in the field and a reliable steward of safety documentation behind the scenes.
