Job Description

The Associate Director of the Military Talent Pipeline works under general direction, assists the Director in all aspects of departmental operations, and maintains responsibility for the major functional units and activities within the department. This position focuses on developing and maintaining programs to expand the Texas workforce in key industries (e.g., STEM, Semiconductors, Data Analytics, Cyber Security, and Law Enforcement) by working with new veterans and collaborating with DOD and regional industries for workforce development and research.

Additionally, duties include program development of atypical initiatives as directed by the Provost for the benefit of the University. As required, the associate director acts in the Director's absence and represents the University externally. This position is grant-funded through August 15, 2028, with the possibility of renewal upon the grant’s expiration. Texas A&M University–Central Texas is committed to retaining this position after the grant ends, provided it is financially feasible.

A Presidential Proclamation issued on September 19, 2025, imposes a $100,000 fee on all new H‑1B petitions filed after September 21, 2025, and Texas A&M University–Central Texas will not pay this fee. Additionally, a moratorium issued by Governor Abbott on January 27, 2026, restricts the filing of new H‑1B petitions unless approved by the Texas Workforce Commission. Accordingly, if you will now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status this moratorium may affect our ability to employ you should you be selected as the final candidate.

Applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer.
