Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin. We are seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for a Level One Operating Room (CVOR) position, evening shift 1:00 p.m.–9:30 p.m.

Unit SummaryWe care for very critical patients in a fast‑paced environment. The OR nurse works closely with anesthesia and surgeons to ensure safe passage through the intraoperative phase. The unit includes 33 operating rooms and 2 lithotomy suites, supporting service lines such as cardiac, vascular, neuro, gynecology, urology, ENT, orthopedics, general surgery, trauma, robotics, and oral surgery.
Job SummaryThe Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates patient care delivery according to the BSWH nursing professional practice model. Using the nursing process, the RN assesses the patient, identifies nursing diagnoses, develops and implements individualized plans of care, and evaluates outcomes. The RN promotes safe passage for patients, delegating interventions per the Texas Nursing Practice Act and staff competencies.
Essential Functions OfThe Role

Qualifications- Education:
Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program. - Experience:
1 year CVOR RN experience required. - Certification/license/registration:
Registered Nurse (RN) license;
Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire or transfer.
