RN Summer Seasonal Labor and Delivery Nights

13‑week contract. Completion bonus of $1500.00.

Status:
Full‑Time, 36 hours per week. Shift: Day and Night Shifts Available.

Join a fast‑paced, high acuity Labor and Delivery department at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital, a Level One, 630‑bed teaching hospital. We are Level 4 Maternal Care Designated.

As a Seasonal RN, you will align with our nursing model, manage patient care, evaluate, recognize, create, and implement care plans. You will monitor patient progress to help patients navigate the healthcare system safely, reducing complications.

• Use good judgment and clinical reasoning to conduct thorough assessments following practice standards.
• Identify patient and family needs, then develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans accordingly. Make adjustments as needed.
• Create safe, therapeutic environments for patients, families, and staff.
• Manage emotional and physical pain to promote recovery and prevent unnecessary suffering.

• Comprehensive knowledge of standards and procedures in nursing and patient care.
• Effective communication skills to articulate thoughts clearly and interact with diverse groups of people.
• Proficient problem‑solving abilities and critical thinking skills to provide quality patient care.
• Flexibility and excellent communication for sharing changes in patient health conditions promptly and efficiently.

• A degree from an accredited RN program
• A valid Registered Nurse license
• Current Basic Life Support certification2 years of current Labor and Delivery RN experience required
• Experience in a Level 3 or 4 designated care level highly preferred
