Job Overview

We’re currently seeking Registered Nurses to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX.

Location & Hours

Full-Time: 36 hours/week, Days 7 am–7 pm

Temple, TX.

Unit Details

Our Medical Telemetry Unit is a 38‑bed unit focused on direct, individualized care with a full spectrum of medical diagnoses and comorbidities.

Patient Population
  • Sepsis
  • Pulmonary conditions or respiratory distress
  • Chest pain
  • Infection
  • Isolation patients (negative airflow rooms)
  • Skin and wound care, including wound vacs
  • Procedures: scopes, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, central line, paracentesis, angio‑cath, pacemaker insertions, chest tubes
  • Enteral feeding tube insertion and maintenance
  • Cardiac monitoring
  • GI abnormalities
  • Trach care
  • Genitourinary abnormalities

Requirements
  • Graduate of RN School of Nursing; ADN required
  • Licensed to practice professional nursing by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited program; specialized field of study should be nursing
  • RN license
  • BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of starting
