Position: Retail Sales Associate - 0345

Position Summary

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to deliver exceptional customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. This role involves greeting, engaging, and processing sales, loans, and other transactions while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Greets and interacts with all customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
  • Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
  • Maintains cleanliness and proper stocking of the sales floor, and displays merchandise professionally.
  • Executes sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practice, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies, procedures, practice, and regulatory requirements.
  • Answers incoming calls per company standards.
  • Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers effectively.
  • Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
  • Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
  • Successfully completes the assigned training program.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing to perform duties that may include standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting for extended periods, in accordance with federal, state, and local law.
  • Experience or willingness to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification, if required.
  • Willingness to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
  • Minimum age 18 years.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to work with customers, enjoy teamwork, and stay positive.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Basic math proficiency.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Flexibility to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  • Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
Benefits and Perks
  • $11.00 to $14.00 per hour base rate.
  • Commission potential of up to 8% on transactions.

Commission Plan Information

The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Detailed plan information will be provided during the interview process.

All employees agree to a binding arbitration agreement to resolve disputes. Pay rates will not fall below any applicable local minimum wage requirements.
