SummaryAssists carpenter in constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Gathers tools and supplies to be used at work site.
- Maintains tools and equipment and keeps supplies and parts in order.
- Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment. Performs other routine duties.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Lead Carpenter, Carpenters, or Plant Services Supervisor.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications- High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Experience in carpentry service preferred.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to learn carpentry technical information. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Possess current driver's license.
Employee is frequently required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to walk, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Requires close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work EnvironmentEmployee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
