CDL Driver

Texas Building Supply, a division of US LBM Holdings, LLC, serves major markets in Texas from five building material yards and one window distribution facility located in Austin, Houston, Dallas‑Fort Worth, and San Antonio.

• Operate the truck safely and responsibly.
• Deliver materials to job sites, checking orders for accuracy and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Assist forklift operators during loading and unloading, and operate truck‑mounted forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness of the truck, warehouse, and yard, and assist with good housekeeping.
• Perform daily equipment pre‑inspection and record all merchandise returned for credit.
• Prepare DOT required logs of time on duty and driving.
• Organize and secure loads; check orders for accuracy and document deliveries.
• Relay messages to customers while on the job.
• Assist supervisors and other employees as assigned, and comply with all company policies and guidelines.
• Participate in department trainings and maintain current Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License as required.
• Comply with Department of Transportation guidelines and company safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Class A CDL License required;
  Class B CDL License also required.
• Basic CDL experience with flat beds and/or tractor‑trailers required.
• 1‑3 years CDL experience required for interstate commerce.
• Experience preferred for positions with more advanced cab types (e.g., CDL Driver II, CDL Long Haul, CDL Wide Load, CDL Driver Boom Crane, or Non‑CDL Driver).

• Basic math, reading orders, writing instructions, and completing required forms.
• Effective and professional communication with customers, coworkers, and supervisors (verbal and written).
• Constructive conflict resolution and problem‑recognition skills.
• Knowledge of safe lifting techniques and current technologies (Smartphone, GPS, and business applications).
• Adherence to workplace safety and ability to operate forklift and trailer equipment safely.

• Class A CDL License required.
