Paraprofessional – PIXI Program at KCS
Part‑time position requiring prior experience in a school setting working with young children. The position is 19.75 hours per week for 10 months per year. Successful candidates must have passed the Para Pro exam or hold an associate degree.
Program OverviewThe PIXI program is a school‑based early intervention and prevention program designed to enhance school‑related competencies and reduce social, emotional, and school adjustment difficulties for children in pre‑k through grade 3.
Key Responsibilities- Work with children, teachers, and school staff to support program goals.
- Communicate effectively with diverse groups of students and staff.
- Maintain good organizational skills and work independently.
- Engage in learning about children's social‑emotional health and development.
- Prior experience in a school setting with young children.
- Pass Para Pro exam or hold an associate degree.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, motivation, and positive attitude toward school.
- Ability to work with diverse student populations and independently.
