Killingly Public Schools is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and student-centered educational leader to serve as Interim Superintendent of Schools beginning July 1, 2026, for a period of up to six months while the district conducts a search for a permanent superintendent.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Board of Education, district leadership team, staff, families, and community partners to support the continued success, stability, and daily operations of the district during this transitional period.

The Board of Education is seeking a visible and approachable leader who:

Qualifications:

  • Connecticut 093 Superintendent Certification required or eligibility for certification
  • Prior superintendent and/or central office leadership experience preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in public education
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Compensation:
Salary and work year to be determined based on qualifications and experience.
