EASTCONN is seeking a dynamic, student-centered English Teacher for Quinebaug Middle College. The successful candidate will foster a positive learning environment, deliver engaging instruction aligned with Connecticut standards, and support students in developing strong literacy, communication, and critical‑thinking skills.
Position Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging English Language Arts instruction
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff
- Integrate technology and innovative instructional practices into the classroom
- Support a positive and inclusive school culture
- Participate in professional development and school initiatives
- Valid Connecticut teaching certification required:
- 015 English, 7–12
, or - Other appropriate Connecticut English/Language Arts certification
- 015 English, 7–12
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to student achievement and relationship-building
- Experience working with secondary students preferred
- Bachelor degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
Salary and benefits will be in accordance with applicable union contract, education and experience.
