Job Title: Wastewater Superintendent

Department: Public Works

Employment Status: Full-Time, Non-Union

Hours: 40 Hours per Week

Salary Range: $122,000 to $147,000 depending on experience

This position performs administrative, supervisory, and other work as required for managing and maintaining an 8 MGD wastewater treatment facility including 7 wastewater operators, 11 pump stations, and 55 miles of a sanitary collection system.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Environmental Engineering, Wastewater, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Six (6) years’ of increasingly responsible experience in the operations of a wastewater treatment facility.
• Three years (3) of operational or plant maintenance supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience substituted on a year for year basis.
• Possession of or ability to obtain a CT Grade IV Wastewater Treatment License.
• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Class B CDL with air brake and tanker endorsements.
