Position: Physical Therapist

Location: Outpatient, Danielson, CT

Hours: 40 hours per week

Schedule: Day Shift (can be flexible between hours of 7am-6pm). Options may include:

• Early-in, early-out schedule (7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.)
• Option for 4 × 10-hour shifts per week available for experienced staff

Join a patient-centered rehabilitation team dedicated to helping individuals regain mobility, restore function, and improve quality of life in a dynamic outpatient clinical setting with a high volume of acute orthopedic post-surgical cases.

As the Physical Therapist, under the general direction of the Physical Medicine Director, you will organize and administer prescribed physical therapy programs in an effort to reduce and/or prevent disability to help patients achieve their maximum functional potential. • Evaluates and treats patients as prescribed by referring physician.
• Records treatment, response, progress and discharge information in patient's chart or enters information into computer.
• Educates patient, family and significant others regarding condition, treatment and home program.
• Routinely confers with physician and other practitioners in person, by phone, or in writing, regarding progress, regression or change of plan.
• Orients, instructs, and directs assistants, aides and students.
• Maintains professional growth by attendance of department meetings, inservice and educational conferences. Includes participation in hospital orientation and departmental and community inservice education and programs as directed.
• Assists with the planning and implementation of new programs.

• BS, MS or DPT degree from an accredited program in Physical Therapy required.
• Licensure by the state of Connecticut required.
• Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent within…
