Monday ‐ Friday; 11:30am ‐ 6:30pm, Summer hours: 7:30am ‐ 2:30pm. Requires ability to float between multiple Natchaug sites as needed.

Natchaug Hospital is Eastern Connecticut’s leading provider for children, adolescents and adults with mental illness and substance abuse addictions, offering inpatient and outpatient behavioral health, residential treatment for court-involved teenage girls, geriatric services, clinical day treatment schools and chemical dependency services.

Natchaug's Joshua Center Programs treat children as young as 6 and as old as 17 who are struggling with psychiatric or substance abuse issues, but do not require inpatient care. Services include comprehensive assessment (including aftercare planning), family, group and individual therapy, occupational and creative rehabilitation therapy. Natchaug Hospital provides transportation from school to the Joshua Center Program and then to the student’s home.

The Mental Health Worker provides therapeutic interventions for clients and participates as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team in adherence to hospital policies and core values. Provides transportation from school to the Joshua Center program and then to the student's home with company vehicles. This position will float to other Natchaug sites as needed.

• Previous experience with behavioral health clients preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years related experience required.
• Current CT Driver’s license with a clean driving record for a minimum 3 consecutive years.
• Ability to obtain a Public Service License "A" Endorsement within 90 days of hire, which requires ability to pass pre‑hire drug screen, DOT physical exam and background checks.
• Must have and maintain a telephone number for scheduling.
• Computer proficiency and keyboarding skills required.
