Bus/PSV Mechanic - Dayshift
- Based at our Kilmarnock depot, located at Mac Kinlay Place, Kilmarnock
- Pay rate of £17.32 per hour
- Shift pattern - dayshift
Looking for a hands‑on mechanical role where your skills keep the community moving?
What You’ll Be Doing- Maintaining and repairing our fleet of buses to DVSA and Stagecoach safety standards
- Diagnosing and fixing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
- Carrying out routine inspections, servicing, and occasional roadside repairs
- Supporting apprentices by sharing your knowledge and experience
- Working safely and efficiently as part of a collaborative depot team
- NVQ Level 3 in HGV or PSV Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Hands‑on experience working on commercial or specialist vehicles
- A safety‑first attitude and strong attention to detail
- A team player with good communication skills
- Previous experience working on buses or large passenger vehicles (desirable)
- Full training provided, including health & safety, equipment use and cleaning standards
