Wildfire Coordinator in British Columbia

Join a dynamic team as a Wildfire Coordinator to oversee and facilitate wildfire management projects across British Columbia. This role is perfect for someone experienced in wildfire operations and planning.

As a Wildfire Coordinator, you will utilize your expertise in community wildfire planning and prescribed burning to help manage projects and minimize risk. You will support junior staff, assist in regulatory permitting, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams. This position requires excellent organizational skills and a commitment to safety while working outdoors in varied environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support planning and execution of wildfire management projects

• Develop and implement Community Wildfire Resiliency Plans

• Coordinate prescribed burning operations and documentation

• Facilitate regulatory compliance and maintain records

• Organize schedules and promote a safety-first culture

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in wildfire management

• Post-secondary education in a related field preferred

• Understanding of regulatory compliance and permitting

• Good communication skills for client and agency interactions

• Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license for travel
