Film Production Assistant

About the Role

Our client, an independent film production company in Kimberley , is seeking a proactive and adaptable Film Production Assistant . This role provides invaluable experience across various aspects of filmmaking, supporting the production team on set and in the office. You will be involved in everything from logistical coordination and equipment management to assisting cast and crew. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with a passion for cinema, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in the dynamic and often challenging environment of film production in Kimberley .

• Assist the production manager and first assistant director with daily on-set operations and logistics.
• Coordinate schedules, call sheets, and crew needs to ensure smooth production flow.
• Manage and maintain production equipment, props, and supplies.
• Run errands and transport crew members or materials as needed.
• Liaise with various departments to ensure clear communication and timely delivery of services.
• Assist with script breakdown, research, and location scouting as required.
• Handle general administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and communication logs.

• Previous experience in film production or a related media field is advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
• A proactive attitude and a willingness to take initiative and problem-solve.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Familiarity with film production terminology and processes, particularly within the Kimberley context.
