About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Insurance Compliance Manager to oversee compliance operations and risk management strategies for their operations in Kimberley . This role requires a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape governing the insurance industry in South Africa. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs, ensuring adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to foster a culture of compliance and mitigate regulatory risks, playing a key role in maintaining the company's integrity and reputation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive compliance policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps and weaknesses.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure proactive updates to company policies and practices.
  • Oversee the implementation of compliance training programs for all employees.
  • Investigate potential compliance issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and represent the company in compliance-related matters.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, legal, or audit roles within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of South African insurance legislation and regulatory frameworks (e.g., FAIS Act, FICA, Insurance Act).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead initiatives.
  • A relevant bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, or Business Administration is required for this Kimberley position.
