About the Role

Our client is seeking a passionate and proactive Community Development Officer to drive positive change in Kimberley . This role is central to identifying community needs, developing impactful projects, and fostering collaborations that enhance the well-being of residents. You will work closely with local communities, stakeholders, and partner organizations to implement sustainable development initiatives. This is a rewarding opportunity for an individual dedicated to social impact and community empowerment, working within a respected charitable organization in the Northern Cape .

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct community needs assessments and identify areas for development intervention.
  • Develop, manage, and implement community development projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, leaders, and local authorities.
  • Facilitate community participation and engagement in project activities.
  • Monitor project progress, evaluate outcomes, and report on impact.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in community development or a related social work field.
  • Strong understanding of development principles and community engagement strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Familiarity with the social and economic context of Kimberley and the surrounding region.
  • Bachelor's degree in Community Development, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
