About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Technician to join their operational team in Kimberley . This role is crucial for the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex electrical systems and equipment across various sites. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure, diagnosing faults, and implementing effective solutions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong practical skills, and is committed to upholding the highest standards of safety and technical performance in a hands‑on capacity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical machinery, equipment, and fixtures according to specifications.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshooting on electrical systems to identify faults and malfunctions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints , schematics, and technical diagrams to guide installation and repair work.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant safety regulations, codes, and company policies.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior technicians and apprentices on site.
  • Operate and maintain testing equipment and tools safely and effectively.
Requirements
  • National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or relevant trade certification (e.g., Electrician).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Technician, preferably in an industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in working with low voltage and medium voltage systems .
  • Strong understanding of electrical theory, safety procedures, and diagnostic techniques.
  • Experience with instrumentation and control systems is advantageous.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Kimberley region as needed.
