Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join their team, primarily serving the Kimberley region. This role involves travelling to customer sites to perform installations, maintenance, and repairs on sophisticated technical equipment. You will be a crucial point of contact for clients, ensuring their systems operate efficiently and providing expert technical support. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, dedicated to delivering exceptional service and maintaining client satisfaction in the Northern Cape.
Key Responsibilities- Install, commission, and test new equipment and systems at client locations.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues, providing effective and timely repair solutions.
- Respond to urgent service requests and provide on-site support to minimize customer downtime.
- Maintain detailed service reports, documenting all work performed, parts used, and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with the engineering and support teams to resolve challenging technical problems.
- Ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed during on-site activities.
- Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or in a similar technical role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems relevant to the industry.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and interpreting technical documentation.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be comfortable with regular travel within the Kimberley area and surrounding districts.
