Energi Tech Services is actively seeking skilled Wayne and/or Gilbarco certified Petroleum Equipment Service Technicians to join our growing team. This role combines field service expertise, hands-on mechanical and electrical work, and outstanding customer support. You will work on critical fueling infrastructure that keeps businesses across Wisconsin operating efficiently and safely.

Position Summary
The Wayne/Gilbarco Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining petroleum equipment-including dispensers, POS systems, fueling systems, and related components. This role performs field service work at customer sites, ensures safe and compliant operations, and provides exceptional customer service. Technicians are expected to maintain a high degree of technical proficiency, adhere to safety standards, and accurately document all service activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Service Responsibilities
1. Equipment Troubleshooting & Repair - Diagnose, repair, and maintain petroleum equipment, including Wayne and/or Gilbarco systems, dispensers, POS systems, fueling components, and related electronic/ mechanical systems.
2. Installation & Upgrades - Install new equipment and assist with system upgrades, site improvements, and commissioning in accordance with Energi Tech and manufacturer standards.
3. Field Service Documentation - Complete service tickets, repair notes, parts usage, and electronic documentation accurately and promptly using company-provided software.
4. Customer Interaction - Represent Energi Tech professionally at customer sites, communicating clearly and courteously to deliver status updates and verify service completion.
5. Equipment & Vehicle Care - Maintain company tools, test equipment, and service vehicles in safe, clean, and operational condition. Report any issues immediately.
6. Compliance & Safety - Follow all company, customer, and regulatory safety requirements, including PPE usage, lockout/tagout, confined space procedures, and industry-specific regulations.
7. On-Call Support - Participate in an on-call rotation and be available for after-hours or emergency service calls.
8. Additional Duties - Assist with warehouse support, inventory handling, material organization, and other tasks assigned by management.
Technical & Professional Development
• Training Participation - Engage in Energi Tech's structured training programs to expand knowledge of petroleum equipment, electrical systems, safety protocols, and diagnostic techniques.
• Wayne/Gilbarco Certification Use & Expansion - Utilize existing certifications to perform advanced service tasks; pursue additional certifications as needed.
• Mentorship & Collaboration - Work with senior technicians to develop advanced troubleshooting skills, installation techniques, and customer service best practices.
• Continuous Improvement - Demonstrate initiative in skill development, safety awareness, and adopting efficient work practices.
Qualifications
Required
• Wayne and/or Gilbarco Certification
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted and perform physical work (standing, bending, kneeling, climbing).
• Comfort working outdoors, around fuel odors, fumes, and petroleum environments.
• Strong attention to detail, safety-focused mindset, and ability to work independently.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred
• Prior experience in petroleum equipment, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or similar service industries.
• Vocational or technical training in mechanics, electronics, or electrical systems.
• Familiarity with service documentation software and computer-based reporting tools.
• Hands-on, technical problem-solving approach.
Work Environment
This position is primarily field-based, servicing customers at:
• Retail fueling sites
• Commercial facilities
• Industrial operations
Technicians must follow all safety procedures and maintain professional interactions with customers, vendors, and Energi Tech team members.
