Crane Engineering Sales Inc is seeking a Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial fluid handling and process equipment for municipal, industrial, and sanitary customers. In this field-based role, you'll service pumps, valves, filtration, and wastewater systems, perform preventive maintenance, and support startups and upgrades at customer sites. Work in a collaborative, values-driven culture focused on safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement, with strong technical training and opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial pumps, valves, and fluid handling equipment at customer sites across the Midwest
  • Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and calibration on mechanical and process systems to ensure reliable operation
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics to identify issues and implement effective solutions
  • Document service work, parts used, and recommendations in a clear and timely manner using service software and customer reports
  • Collaborate with sales engineers and project teams to support startups, upgrades, and system optimization for municipal, industrial, and sanitary customers
  • Train customer operators on proper equipment use, maintenance practices, and safety procedures
  • Adhere to all company, customer, and industry safety standards while working in industrial and municipal environments
  • Participate in ongoing technical training to stay current on product lines, fluid process technologies, and best practices
  • Support emergency and on-call service needs, occasionally working extended hours or travel as required
  • Represent Crane Engineering with professionalism, clear communication, and a strong customer service mindset
