Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) andSenior Leadership Team .Thispositionwillcoordinateexecutiveoperations,supportmunicipalpolicydevelopment,corporate initiatives,andstrategicprojects,whileleadingemployeewellness,engagement,recognition,andworkplacedevelopmentprograms.

Responsibilities:
Executive Support Services
  • Provide confidential,high-leveladministrativeandprojectsupporttothe

    Chief Administrative Officer (CAO)
  • Conductresearchandassistinthedevelopment,review,tracking,andcoordinationofmunicipalpolicies,procedures,and reports
  • Manage calendars,appointments,meetings,andschedulingprioritiesfortheCAO
  • Prepareandeditprofessionalcorrespondence,reports,presentations,meeting agendas,and minutes
  • Coordinatebusinesstravel,conference registrations,andeventlogisticswhilemaintainingbudgetandschedulingrequirements
  • Maintainconfidentialrecords,files,andinformationincompliancewithmunicipalpolicies,privacy legislation,andrecordsmanagementstandards
  • Supportmattersinvolvinglegalcounselbycoordinatingsensitivedocumentation,communications,andconfidentialmaterials
  • Serveasaprimarypointofcontactforstaff,elected officials,external agencies,andmembersofthepublic,respondingtoinquiriesanddirectingissuesappropriately
  • Developandcoordinateinternalcommunicationmaterialsinsupportof Senior Leadership Team initiatives ,meetings,andstrategicpriorities
  • Assistinthepreparationandadministrationofdepartmentalandprogrambudgetsandrelatedtracking
Workplace Development&Employee Wellness
  • Develop,implement,andmanageemployeewellness,engagement,recognition,andretentionprogramsthatsupportapositiveworkplaceculture
  • Coordinatewellnessactivitiesandinitiativesthatpromoteemployeehealth,well-being,workplace safety,andwork-life balance
  • Coordinateandsupportemployeetraining,professional development,succession planning,andworkplacedevelopmentinitiatives
  • Plananddeliverstaffappreciationevents,andemployeeengagementactivities
  • Assistwithemployeeengagementsurveysandsupporttheevaluationandcontinuousimprovementofwellnessandengagementprograms
  • Ensurecompliancewithapplicablelegislation,municipal policies,andworkplacebestpractices
Corporate Initiatives&Special Projects
  • CollaboratewiththeCAOand Senior Leadership Teamtosupportcorporateinitiatives ,policy development,andorganizationalimprovementprojects
  • Conduct research,analyzedata,andpreparereportsandrecommendationstosupportdecision-makingandCouncilpriorities
  • Coordinatespecialprojects,developworkplans,monitortimelinesanddeliverables,andtrackprojectprogress
  • Facilitate cross-departmentalcollaborationtoadvancecorporateobjectivesandcontinuousimprovementinitiatives
  • Assistwithstrategicplanning,grant applications,program reporting,andprojectdocumentation
  • Completeotherdutiesasassignedbythe Chief Administrative Officer
Education&Experience Requirements:
  • Post-secondaryeducationin

    Public

    Administration,Business Administration,Organizational Development,Human Resourcesorarelatedfield
  • 3-5yearsofexperienceinpublicadministration,preferablyinamunicipalsetting
  • Previousexperienceprovidingexecutive-leveladministrativesupportandworkplacedevelopmentinitiatives
  • Understanding of Human Resources practices ,legislation,andprogramsconsideredanasset
  • AMCTOMunicipal Administration Programcompletionconsideredanasset
  • Acombinationofeducationandrelevantexperiencemaybeconsidered
Required Knowledge,Skills&

  • Strongunderstandingofmunicipalgovernmentoperations,regulatory compliance,andpublicadministration
  • Knowledgeoforganizationalbehaviourprinciplesandpractices
