Role Description The Staff Nurse II is a full-time, night shift, on-site role located in King City, CA. This position provides direct, evidence-based nursing care to patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Day-to-day responsibilities include administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient status, documenting care in the medical record, and communicating clearly with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

The Staff Nurse II supports patient education, promotes safety and infection control, and participates in quality improvement initiatives aligned with the organization’s standards of care. This role also supports team members, contributing to a collaborative and patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Clinical nursing skills, including patient assessment, care planning, and implementation of evidence-based interventions.
• Proficiency in medication administration, IV therapy, and monitoring for therapeutic effects and adverse reactions.
• Strong patient and family communication skills, including education, counseling, and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.
• Competence in clinical documentation, use of electronic health records, and adherence to regulatory and organizational protocols.
• Commitment to patient safety, infection prevention, and quality improvement in alignment with best practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment, demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and sound clinical judgment.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California, in good standing.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
• Preferred experience in emergency care, rural healthcare, or a similar hospital setting.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution; BSN preferred.
