We are actively seeking a
Resident Project Representative II (Construction Observation) in our King of Prussia, PA office to work on public works and private sector projects that shape our communities. As a
Resident Project Representative II with
HRG
, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and safety. You will serve as the primary on-site representative, overseeing construction activities and observing developer-installed improvements for land development and subdivision projects. Your expertise will ensure that projects align with approved plans, specifications, and municipal requirements.
- Review project schedules, shop drawing submittals, and schedules of values, ensuring compliance with engineering requirements
- Attend pre-construction and progress meetings, document key discussions, and circulate comprehensive meeting minutes
- Act as the engineer’s liaison with contractors, assisting in contract document interpretation
- Conduct on-site observations of work progress, verifying compliance with plans and specifications
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including diaries/logs, correspondence, shop drawings, and contractor records
- Report any unsatisfactory, faulty, or defective work to the project engineer
- Assist in testing, inspections, and start-up activities, ensuring proper documentation and execution
- Review plans for compliance with municipal requirements and prepare improvement guarantee cost estimates
- Inspect developer-installed improvements and prepare detailed inspection reports
- Evaluate improvement guarantee reduction requests
- High school diploma or GED required
- 4+ years of project experience in construction observation and administration including stormwater, site grading, E&S control, paving, bridges, concrete (curbs and sidewalks), utilities
- Knowledge of stormwater systems, site grading, paving, and highway projects
- Basic understanding of survey, grade and cut sheets and quantity data
- NECEPT Field Technician certification in Asphalt and/or Concrete, preferred
- NICET certification in Highway Construction Inspection, preferred
- Effective utilization of common business platforms such as Microsoft Office Suite, virtual meeting tools, project management systems, etc.
- Flexibility to travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices as necessary, which may include overnight stays
- Valid US Driver’s License is required
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
