Reconstruction Project Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Reconstruction Project Manager to oversee residential and commercial reconstruction projects from initial planning through final completion. This role is responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, vendors, and field operations while ensuring quality workmanship, safety compliance, and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong project management skills and experience coordinating restoration or construction projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage residential and commercial reconstruction projects from planning through completion.
  • Coordinate field operations with subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and internal teams to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Develop project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Conduct regular job site inspections to verify quality standards, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications and local building codes.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, approvals, material orders, and project records.
  • Communicate project updates with property owners, insurance representatives, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor project costs and proactively address scheduling, budget, or scope issues.
  • Lead project meetings and coordinate daily activities to ensure successful project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Support continuous process improvement and assist with additional projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional construction or project management education is a plus.
  • 2+ years of project management experience in construction, remodeling, restoration, or a related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of residential and commercial construction practices.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, budgets, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and cloud-based project management tools.
  • Experience with Xactimate, Xact Analysis, DASH, or similar restoration software is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and construction site safety practices.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel between project locations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.
