About the Role :
Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineer. In this role, the candidate will perform duties of mission analysis, flight dynamics, test analysis support, requirements verification, and system design. The candidate will develop solutions to complex technical problems while ensuring sound technical content and timely resolution. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of flight dynamics, inertial measurement units, navigation basics, trajectory simulation techniques, Kalman filter development, as well as utilizing MATLAB for data analysis.
Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. Successful applicants will generally possess minimal or junior level related work experience, if any, and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
Basic Qualifications:
Skill Requirements :
• Demonstrated experience using MATLAB and/or Simulink for modeling and simulation
• Experience in performing test data processing and analysis
• Demonstrated experience with and/or knowledge of flight dynamics and/or navigation systems Security Clearance / Work Authorization:
• To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen.
• Although not required for consideration, applicants must be able to obtain a Secret clearance prior to start.
• Selected candidates will be required to maintain a minimum level, government issued Secret clearance, for long term employment on this program. Desired
Skills:
• Familiar with dynamics and engineering testing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in hypersonic vehicle design and reentry vehicle systems
• Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with team members
• Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
