- Assist with structural design tasks for discipline systems in accordance with code and IMEG standards
- Research project information and identify relevant resources
- Support client relations, maintain project design notebooks, and document materials for permanent record files
- Coordinate design activities and schedules with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and supplier partners
- Document design decisions, meetings, client instructions, and project progress promptly
- Review project documents for accuracy and completeness before final check
- Help prepare and issue addendum information
- Conduct periodic job site observations and perform other services required by the contract services agreement
- Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, or equivalent, required
- Strong interest in design consulting
- Proficient with MS Office Suite including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Skilled in AutoCAD and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM) software
- Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
- Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred
- Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull
- Will have limited exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises
- Philadelphia structural team with active work centered on housing, commercial, and parking-related projects across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC.
- Current portfolio also includes industrial rack-supported buildings, data centers, gaming / hospitality renovations, education, and healthcare support work.
- Recent work includes UPA / Philadelphia, PA / 5.0 University Parking Garage, Commercial, and Alterra Property Group / Philadelphia, PA / Wanamaker Mixed-Use Conversion, Housing.
