Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a team in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. This role requires someone who pays close attention to detail, thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, and is skilled in managing various aspects of accounts receivable processes. As a contract position, this opportunity offers the potential for long-term growth within the organization.

Responsibilities:

- Process daily accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, payment applications, account reconciliations, and handling unapplied cash.

- Perform regular batching and deposits for credit card payments and financing transactions.

- Utilize a check scanner to deposit daily check batches into the bank account accurately and efficiently.

- Handle customer refunds and chargebacks promptly to ensure smooth financial operations.

- Monitor and manage collection efforts across multiple entities to reduce aged receivables and improve cash flow.

- Conduct thorough aging reviews, document trends, and escalate unresolved issues to the Accounts Receivable Manager.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement strategies for minimizing outstanding receivables.

- Ensure accurate and timely processing of credit memos and maintain organized records for audit purposes.

- Support reconciliation efforts to maintain consistency and accuracy across financial accounts.

Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar financial role.

- Proficiency in Sage accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.

- Strong understanding of accounts receivable operations, including billing, cash applications, and collections.

- Proven ability to manage high-volume workflows in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in financial processes.

- Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external clients.

- Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in accounts receivable processes.

- Experience with commercial collections and cash activity management.
