The ideal candidate for this role is a proactive, independent, and well-organized professional with the ability to interface well with all colleagues and clients. The primary focus is to provide operational support in the Risk (Insurance) line of business, ensuring quality and prompt service to all clients.
Responsibilities- Work with clients to complete applications.
- Review applications and policy changes for completeness and accuracy.
- Arrange medical, paramedical, and any exams required for underwriting.
- Interact with underwriters during the underwriting process as necessary.
- Responsible for policy delivery and delivery reporting requirements.
- Responsible for the processing of dividend changes, policy changes, beneficiary and ownership changes, billing and payment updates, loan and surrender processing, reinstatements, reconsiderations, and death claims.
- Communicate with clients for additional data needed for completion of tasks.
- Prompt response to client service requests professionally via direct phone contact and e-mail.
- Thoroughly document details of all client service.
- Respond promptly to team requests for servicing or data changes and all related questions.
- Provide general administrative support as needed.
- Completes other related projects as assigned.
Required
- PA Life, Accident & Health Insurance License (must have or obtain within first 45 days of employment)
- Ability to manage time effectively to prioritize and meet daily requirements and deadlines
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and diplomacy, while adhering to regulatory and company compliance requirements
- Strong communications skills (written and verbal), with the ability to collaborate effectively with team and others
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications, i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel
Preferred
- FINRA Registration SIE, Series 6 or 7, and 63 Licensing (Obtain within first two years of employment)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance and/or equivalent work experience beneficial
- Proficient in CRM, PX
- Minimum of 1 year Northwestern Mutual experience
- Customer service experience beneficial
