SQL Database Administrator

Education, Experience, and Skills/Competencies Required to Perform the Job Duties

Key Education or Certification Required

• Required Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Microsoft SQL certification (MCSA) or the ability to work towards this

Required Minimum Number of Years of Relevant Experience

• 7 years of experience as a database administrator in a SQL Server environment
• 3 years of experience working in Microsoft Azure or other cloud providers
• 3 years of experience working with Microsoft Azure Dev Ops or other CI/CD tooling

Required Skills and Competencies

• Experience with SQL Server 2012 and later versions
• Experience with SQL Server Integration, Analysis, and Reporting Services
• Experience with Power BI
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
• Experience with Active Directory / Azure Active Directory
• Strong understanding of current database technologies and applications
• A keen interest in learning about new technologies
• Ability to solve complex problems and take innovative perspectives on existing solutions
• Willing to work occasional extended hours
• Highly detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
