Intern- IT/Informatics- SK Life Science Labs
Job Location s: US | US-PA-KING OF PRUSSIA
OverviewAs part of the Molecular Technology team, you will be responsible for helping to maintain the SKLSL IT environment. You will interact with research scientists across departments to help them get most out of our IT systems. This job will involve asset management, troubleshooting IT issues, and helping with AI related projects.
You will work closely with internal users to make sure they are fully supported and act as a liaison between users and software/service providers.
This job is cross-functional, and you will have opportunity to learn Research Informatics, Informational Technologies, and Laboratory instrumentations.
Responsibilities- Be part of the first level of user support for scientific software and informatics system.
- Write user guides for commonly used workflows.
- Act as a liaison between users and software/service providers.
- Help setup and manage the ticketing system.
- Coordinate the training and support of end users on system usage and best practices.
- Work with commercial vendors to install, configure, and integrate software.
- Work with IT providers & vendors to provide on-site user and instrument support.
- Working towards B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Biochemistry, Chemistry or Biology or related field.
- 1-3 years of working/educational experience in computing/IT is a plus.
- Experience with computing hardware and networking will be a big plus.
- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with strong verbal and written communication skills.
