McDonnell & Associates is looking for an experienced trial lawyer to handle cases in the practice areas of employment law, commercial litigation, premise liability, and products liability for a fortune 500 company at our King of Prussia location. McDonnell & Associates offers a collegial environment with opportunities to get “hands on” experience, including trial experience. The position also offers opportunities to independently manage a caseload and work with a team of lawyers on complex, high value cases.
The position provides opportunities to regularly attend court proceedings, depositions, arbitrations and trials. Attorneys also have direct client contact and interact with adversaries and Judges. The responsibilities and qualifications for the position are as follows:
- Represent clients in arbitration, mediation, and trials in state and federal courts
- Prepare and draft discovery, pleadings and motions on behalf of clients
- Conduct and defend party depositions
- Conduct expert witness discovery and depositions
- Evaluate medical issues and prepare causation of injury defense
- Advise clients on litigation strategy and dispute resolution plan.
- Participation in mock trials and focus groups for large value matters
- Negotiate settlements for legal disputes
- Draft pretrial and post-trial motions
- Bar license in Pennsylvania and New Jersey
- Strong research and writing skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Strong organizational and case management skills
