The Security Department Manager will oversee all security roles, including sales, design, project management, engineering, installation, and service, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements. The Security Manager is accountable for recruiting, staffing, developing, and managing department personnel; driving new and existing customer business opportunities; and achieving financial and growth objectives. This fast‑paced position requires strong operational, sales, and project management expertise, the ability to manage multiple priorities, proactive communication, and a commitment to maximizing profitability while delivering exceptional customer satisfaction and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
PositionResponsibilities
- Provide all customers with the high level of quality product and service they have come to expect from Oliver.
- Lead and Manage the Security Department Team to achieve 5‑year growth plan
- Full P/L responsibility
- Develop and Execute plan for supporting the growth of the department while maintaining company profit objectives
- Analyze sales, operational and financial indicators to continuously improve team performance
- Monitor and authorize appropriate expenditures including equipment and supplies
- Emulate Oliver culture of dedication and accountability as a foundation to success of a high‑performance team
- Recruit, hire, and develop team that will accomplish departmental objectives
- Project Manage high profile and large jobs
- Build and develop customer relationships to further departmental growth
- Assist sales team in estimating labor and planning jobs during the estimating stage
- Learn and utilize Spectrum and Service Trade for operations;
Review weekly job cost reports - Supervise and assist in the collection of overdue or disputed accounts receivables
- Represent company at various associations and industry functions
- Coordination with other Oliver Departments as needed
- 10 years proven experience in the Security / Technology industry
- 5 years Management/ Leadership experience
- Strong technology background, systems and networking competence
- Ability to synthesize business/financial data to develop solutions
- Strong Organization, planning, and leadership Skills
- Superior communication and relationship building skills
- Strong personal desire to succeed with dedicated work ethic
- Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Strong customer service and service delivery orientation
- Enthusiastic and goal oriented with a willingness and history to work in and build a strong successful team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 4-year college degree preferably in what discipline
- Knowledge regarding NFPA and building codes related to security
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite
