Supervisor of Clinical Services
Position responsible for providing nursing care across preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative phases within the surgical setting, following established standards and ensuring patient safety and quality of care.
Responsibilities- Deliver patient care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation).
- Collaborate with surgical team to ensure safe and efficient operative and perioperative care.
- Communicate pertinent information to the care team to provide continuity of care.
- Document accurately in patient records and sign with professional title.
- Engage with patients and families to establish mutually aligned goals and care plans.
- Contribute to maintaining patient identification, site marking and surgical count procedures per policy.
- Respond to emergencies and provide ongoing clinical assessment and problem solving.
- Work within legal and ethical guidelines and organizational policies.
- Demonstrate accountability, flexibility and sound judgment in nursing actions.
- Participate in professional nursing activities and ongoing quality improvement.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- One year OR experience (ortho experience preferred)
- Current Registered Nurse License
- Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
- First Assist experience is a plus
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: assess health status, communicate clearly, document legibly, develop and adjust care plans, respond to emergencies, and practice within legal/ethical guidelines
