Ground Software Engineer

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Level 2 ground Software Engineer with an active Final Top Secret security clearance to work from either our King of Prussia, PA or Littleton, CO location(s). This position is contingent upon the program award expected in July 2026.

• Development of innovative enterprise, cloud‑based solutions for mission management and command and control.
• Design, implement, test, and maintain object‑oriented ground system software applications using Java, Angular, and Python.
• Support modernization efforts geared toward achieving greater efficiency, security, automation, and scalability.
• Collaborate with an enthusiastic team of software, systems, and test engineers using Agile Development methodology.

• Active Top Secret with adjudicated SCI eligibility (TS/SCI) required before start.
• 1+ years of professional software engineering experience and a BS degree for Emerging Professional role.
• Strong software development background and track record of successful project delivery.
• Experience developing ground subsystems.
• Demonstrated expertise in Scaled Agile development methodologies and excellent communication skills.
• Active TS Clearance required with ability to obtain SCI.

• Application containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, or equivalent).
• Agile software development experience (JEE, .NET, JavaScript, Type Script, Angular, etc.).
• Web development experience.
• Cloud‑based technologies.
• Dev Sec Ops  and CI/CD pipeline experience.
• Experience with relational and/or No
  
  SQL databases.
• Experience designing microservice‑based architectures.
• Experience with distributed systems.
• Strong background in debugging and testing of web applications and web services.
