Experienced Web Developer (Word Press/PHP + Ruby on Rails)

Power is looking for a developer with 3-5 years of experience with Wordpress/PHP to join our Business Technology team at our headquarters, just outside of Philadelphia, PA. While the majority of your time will be spent designing, building, and maintaining our Word Press-based marketing and brand websites, you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to our core platform, Nitro, build on Ruby on Rails and React.

We are reinventing the home remodeling industry and to do that, we need a team of top notch designers and developers to help us build out our technology platform and strengthen our brand.

• Design and implement new features and functionality for internal and external websites
• Ensure high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
• Help formulate an effective, responsive design
• Contribute to. full-stack feature work on our Ruby on Rails platform as team priorities require
• Move fluidly between Word Press site operations and Rails/React application development

• 3-5 years concentrated Word Press experience designing, implementing, and managing dynamic websites using Word Press plugins and themes
• Strong experience with front-end technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience with PHP back-end development
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the release process for Word Press developed sites
• Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
• Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
• Experience providing Word Press training as well as troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving website problems for clients and co-workers
• Proven track record of delivering quality work on time
• Enjoy working with product specialists and end-users to understand content requirements
• Solid communication, collaboration and mentoring skills to work with a range of colleagues from UX designers and other developers
