Summary
The Assistant Program Officer will support the Joint (JID) responsibilities as the Joint Staff (JCS) proponent for the Joint Tactical Operations (JTO) Interface Training Program, ensuring operational forces can exploit the full capability of JTO Interface Systems.
Responsibilities- Develop curriculum, conduct instruction, and maintain JID courses.
- Liaison with operational Combatant Commander staffs for exercise planning and preparation.
- Prepare or review OPTASK LINK messages for use in JTO exercises.
- Assist in selection, modification, or request of Link 16 networks to support JTO exercises.
- Perform analysis of multi‑TDL architecture performance and institute changes based on observations.
- Coordinate with development and acquisition agencies for procurement of, and evaluate, JICO automated tools.
- Maintain configuration management of the JICO automated tools.
- Represent JID at joint and combined interoperability working groups.
- Provide course planning and administration, including development and maintenance of schedules, scheduling hands‑on field training, student briefs, handouts and administrative documents, and student notification processes.
- Develop, instruct, revise, and maintain JID course materials.
- Perform curriculum reviews, courseware development, and multimedia enhancements, especially in an electronic classroom.
- Support worldwide deployed mobile training team requirements.
- 4 years of Multi‑TDL experience and training.
- Military instructor experience.
- Capable of worldwide deployment supporting Mobile Training Teams, often under field conditions.
- Associate Degree or one year of related experience may be substituted for each year of the required education.
- Secret Security Clearance and eligibility for a DoD Personal Security Clearance.
- ISD or curriculum development experience.
Must comply with all company security and data protection/use policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information or afford access to other employees not having a need‑to‑know. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company‑provided resources.
Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical DemandsMust be able to sit for long periods of time.
TravelMust be able to travel CONUS and to international sites.
