Under the supervision of the principal, the teacher assistant assists the teacher with the conduct of a class and supports the classroom with materials, corrections, and varied services. The position works 5.9 hours per day across 174 days per year at a Salary Grade 3 level, earning $17.24 per hour.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, and either 48 college hours or an associate's degree, or the ability to pass the Paraprofessional Test.
