Duties
* You will visit construction sites to observe conditions impacting the execution of project design and identify solutions to design technical problems.
* You will serve as the sole designer for projects involving complex electrical, foundations/soils, or site problems requiring extensive research or broad application of engineering principles.
* You will plan, develop, and/or direct development of electrical engineering design objectives, balancing functional requirements against technically sound and economical alternatives.
* You will plan and develop the electrical engineering design aspects for assigned projects, including electrical design schedule and budget.
* You will compile and prepare technical, schedule and cost data.
* You will develop and/or direct preparation of technical calculations and design analyses. Requirements Conditions of employment

* This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
* This position is eligible for ad-hoc/situational telework at the discretion of management. Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Researching, interpreting, and carrying out engineering assignments; providing technical input on the planning, design, construction, testing, or maintenance of projects; AND collecting and analyzing engineering data to solve problems and develop reports. Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: A license to practive Engineering in a state or territory of the United States is desired.
