Position: IT SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT) with Security Clearance
Duties
* You will provide customer service and technical assistance to organizations and personnel supporting the networks.
* You will practice proper customer service protocols while providing technical operation and maintenance assistance to users regarding their end-user equipment and software, workstation, laptops, fax machines, printers, scanners, and other equipment.
* You will install, upgrade and troubleshoot commercial-off-the shelf (COTS) and Government-off-the-shelf (GOTS) applications on the command's networked workstations with little to no technical guidance.
* You will install network operating systems, network protocols, interface cables, RJ45s, RS232s and all software on networked or standalone computers.
* You will answer incoming calls for service providing technical trouble resolution for supported organization and enters the problem in a Troubleshooting Ticket System.
* You will remotely log into end user's computer and assists with setup, mapping drives or technical guidance. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
* Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
* You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* This position requires rotating shift work.
* This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
* This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code System Administrator, proficiency level Intermediate the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Managing workstation support and network operations within a secure enterprise environment; installing, troubleshooting, and configuring software and hardware infrastructure; using automated ticket tracking systems to monitor status and ensure expeditious resolution. In addition to the specialized experience above, I also have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following five competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail
- Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: I manage highly precise tasks like verifying secure messaging compliance on networks and executing critical database backups.
2. Customer Service
- Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services;
