Digital Print Pre Press Technician

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Digital Print Pre-Press Technician with a strong background in digital printing and workflow management. This role is responsible for preparing, processing, and releasing print jobs through Onyx RIP software, managing sample production, and maintaining an organized commercial sample inventory. The ideal candidate understands print production from file intake to finished output and thrives in a fast-paced print environment.

• Prepare and process digital print files for production using Onyx RIP software
• Send jobs to Onyx and release jobs from Onyx to various printers accurately and efficiently
• Verify file setup, sizing, resolution, color profiles, and production readiness
• Produce, package, and ship all print samples
• Create and maintain organized commercial sample inventory
• Track sample usage and ensure inventory is current and well-labeled
• Assist with canvas wrap production when needed (training provided if necessary)
• Communicate with production and sales teams to ensure correct job execution
• Maintain clean, organized pre-press and sample areas
• Follow established production workflows and quality standards

• Experience in a digital print production environment
• Hands‑on experience with Onyx RIP software
• Strong understanding of digital printing workflows
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple jobs and deadlines simultaneously
• Comfortable working with large‑format printers and print production equipment

• Experience creating canvas wraps
• Basic familiarity with Adobe Photoshop (not required)
• Experience with color management and print profiles
• Background in large‑format, commercial, or fine‑art printing
