• Certification as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS)
• Experience working with children or youth with visual impairments, particularly in educational settings
• Knowledge of assessment tools and mobility equipment used with visually impaired students
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and support staff
• Current licensure or eligibility to work as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist in Arizona

• Provide expert orientation and mobility training for students in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Conduct assessments to determine students' needs and develop personalized instruction plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to share progress and advise on accessibility improvements
• Train teachers, family members, and support staff on safe mobility strategies to reinforce student learning
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress
