Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant (MA) to join our ambulatory Float Pool team! You'll have the opportunity to work with diverse teams across multiple medical clinics, gaining a breadth of experience and expanding your skills.
Position PurposeLPN's assist in providing excellent patient care by assisting physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in a medical office setting. Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient‑care team as delegated by physician.

- LPN
- Works under the direction of the provider and the Arizona State Nurse Practice Act to provide professional nursing care for clinic patients in compliance with nursing standards and regulations.
- Triage patients by phone or in person, receiving and implementing telephone physician orders, maintaining clinical communication in a dynamic environment.
- Assists providers and staff in coordinating patient care for both clinic and procedures.
- Performs CLIA waived lab tests and obtains specimens, performs proficiency testing and runs controls for waived tests.
- May perform venipuncture.
- MA
- Responsible for patient care under the direct supervision (in the office suite or exam room) of a Physician, Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner.
- Escorts patient to the exam room and prepares patient for the exam including vital stats, history, and reason for seeking care.
- Cross trains in data entry, balancing of accounts, charge fees and collect payments due, schedules/confirms appointments.
- Performs CLIA waived lab tests and obtains specimens, performs proficiency testing and runs controls for waived tests.
- May perform venipuncture.
- LPN Candidates
- Graduate of a practical or vocational nursing program
- High school or Equivalent
- Current, valid Arizona LPN license or compact state LPN/LVN license
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
- DPS Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
- MA Candidates
- High School or Equivalent
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
- DPS Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Must meet one of the following criteria:
- Has attended a medical assistant training program accredited by one of the following:
The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs or The Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools; - If your Medical Assistant program was not accredited by one of the above agencies, you will need to have a Medical Assistant Certification issued by one of the following. If needed, we will assist you in obtaining a CCMA certification:
- National Health career Association: CCMA
- American Medical Technologist: RMA
- American Association of Medical Assistants: AAMA
- National Center for Competency Testing: NCMA
- American Medical Certification Association: CMAC
- Has completed a medical services training program of the Armed Forces of the United States
- Has attended a medical assistant training program accredited by one of the following:
