Maintenance Manager

Overview

The Maintenance Manager will oversee the maintenance operations at Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) in Kingman, AZ. This role ensures facility and production equipment are maintained safely, cost‑effectively, and in compliance with regulatory standards.

• Identify, justify, and execute capital projects.
• Monitor machine performance, plan and execute preventive maintenance activities.
• Maintain stock room inventory and manage parts needs cost‑effectively.
• Directly supervise professional engineers, technicians, and clerical personnel; indirectly supervise hourly maintenance craftsmen, including skilled electrical and millwright personnel and onsite contractors.
• Maintain physical facility to serve its intended use safely and cost‑effectively; ensure equipment meets safety characteristics and monitor emissions.
• Interface with other plant departments to execute projects that improve safety, reduce manufacturing costs, and enhance production.
• Coordinate project activity with project engineer and Central Supports plant SES, waste management, pollution control, and administrative requirements.
• Develop departmental budget needs, justify, and maintain costs within budget.

• Strong preference for experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and boiler maintenance.
• Knowledge of measuring gauges such as tape measures and calipers.
• Prior experience operating a forklift and scissor lift.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office Suite: Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Experience with an ERP system such as SAP and ladder logic preferred.
• Effective written and oral communication; strong problem‑solving skills.
• Experience reading blueprints, equipment manuals, and schematics.
• Prior experience implementing and maintaining preventive maintenance and work order schedules.
• Ability to work under pressure and complete assigned tasks under stressful conditions.

• Bachelor's degree in Natural Science (Physics), Engineering, Business Management, Finance, Marketing, or Accounting.
• 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in a manufacturing engineering and maintenance environment.
• 2–4 years of experience in maintenance leadership.
• Chemical industry background or similar industrial experience preferred.

• Fast‑paced manufacturing environment with exposure to ambient temperatures, dust, mechanical parts, pinch points, and increased noise levels.
• Exposure to hazardous mechanical, electrical, and chemical substances/equipment.
• Confined spaces work.

• Eye and hearing protection required at all times in production.
• Safety toe shoes (steel/composite).
• Flame‑resistant rated maintenance uniform.
• Other PPE as defined by management within the assigned role.
